Overview

As the show title "The Flying Circus (sora wo kakeru circus)" suggests, it is a creative circus performance that makes full use of the technique of "aerial", in which artists move freely in the high air as if looking up at the sky.

The stage will be directed by Wataru Okumura who is popular in Kyoto for his work "Gear GEAR", which has many fans in Japan and abroad. A mime artist himself, Okamura studied fine arts, and it was perhaps an inevitable encounter that he would direct a circus performance for the 27th anniversary of the opening of the Museum of Art, Kochi.

The performance will be performed by Mizuki Shinagawa, an aerial artist who attracts circus funs all over the world, including the performances at Cirque du Soleil (Canada). Tomoko Saka, who studied trapeze at the National Circus School in Australia, will appear in performing the static trapeze.

Kento Yoshikawa fascinates us with his various and advanced performances such as juggling and high unicycling, Mafu waves a big flag with his unique style, and Kenichi Matsubagawa opens up the community with his juggling while performing various actions in his hometown.
