Tokyo Gegegay, a dance performance group led by the remarkable dancer and creator MUNETAKA MAKI (nickname: MIKEY Mikey), the first dancer from the street dance world to win the Japan Dance Forum Award, will hold its latest performance "Tokyo Gegegay Revue Vol. III". The 'kitteh mental world' created from the unique worldview created by leader Maki Munetaka has been further enhanced. The multi-talented musician Maki Munetaka also uses a wealth of new original songs to create a huge review show of song and dance. Expect an outstanding performance arts performance that is truly worthy of being called the Grand Review of the 21st century!

Profile - TOKYO GEGEGAY

Formed in 2013 by MIKEY, who has choreographed for MISIA and Miliyah Kato, as part of the "DANCE@HERO JAPAN 5 th SEASON" dance contest project on the TV programme "DANCE@TV" (TX). The group was formed after participating in the "DANCE@HERO JAPAN 5 th SEASON" dance contest project on the TV programme DANCE@TV (TX), and won the competition with the highest score ever on the programme. Since then, in addition to dance performances and workshops, they have choreographed for famous artists, and in 2015 they took part in DANCE DANCE ASIA, an international project organised by the Japan Foundation and Parco. In 2016, she became the first street dancer to win the 10th Japan Dance Forum Award at the same time as Mirai Moriyama. In 2017, her music video Gegegay no Kitaro received over 19 million views on YouTube, as well as made her the US debut. Following this, in 2018, the group will perform 26 shows in 12 cities in France and Switzerland over a two-month period starting in September.
