Content

Iittala is an iconic Finnish lifestyle brand. Established in 1881, Iittala worked with leading Finnish architects and designers such as Alvar Aalto and Kaj Franck. Beloved worldwide, Iittala’s philosophy is to create products that combine beauty and functionality and to provide these works of art to everyone.

For the 140th anniversary of the founding of Iittala, we are recreating the exhibition held at Design Museum, Helsinki in 2021 with an additional section on the relationship between Japan and Iittala. With a focus on legendary glass designs both classic and modern symbolizing the history of the company, this exhibit of 450 pieces of art and materials explores the engineering, philosophy, and design of Iittala’s aesthetics through glass, pottery, porcelain, videos, and installations. Come and experience for yourself how Iittala has been shining for many generations.
